I'm the guy who makes these maps. If you plan on attending the show please visit the show's website to make sure you're getting all the latest information on The Newport International Boat Show at NewportBoatShow.com

The Newport International Boat Show sprawls across more than thirteen acres of downtown Newport, Rhode Island, every September. Attendees travel from all over the country to explore sailboats and powerboats, with some models making their US debut right at the festival. On shore, exhibitors set up within tents and outdoor spaces to display marine equipment, services, and accessories. The event calendar is packed with seminars, on water demonstrations, and prize drawings held throughout each day.
The setting adds to the appeal. Newport's waterfront offers sweeping coastal vistas, while the historic downtown streets are lined with boutiques and eateries. What begins as a day at the boat show often turns into an extended stay in one of New England's most picturesque coastal towns.
These graphical guides highlight the land exhibit zones within the broader 2026 show layout. They are designed to complement the primary show map I produced for this year's event.
These visuals are straightforward overhead graphics, built from CAD site plans provided by the show organizers. All final rendering is completed using Adobe Illustrator.
In years past, prior to 2019, these maps featured a more detailed and realistic, illustrative style. The shift toward a cleaner, more streamlined aesthetic was made to improve readability and give the materials a fresh, modern feel that better serves attendees.
A well crafted map does far more than direct foot traffic. It shapes the visitor experience before anyone steps onto the docks.
Attendees study these maps online as they plan their day. They identify which tents to visit and which docks to explore. That kind of preparation builds excitement and helps people make the most of their time. For exhibitors, having a clear presence on the map means being part of that pre show conversation. And for an annual event, maintaining a consistent map style helps reinforce the show's identity year after year.
If you organize an event or oversee a property that could benefit from clear and attractive mapping, I would love to hear from you. I have spent over a decade creating illustrated maps for boat shows, resorts, marinas, and other destinations. Reach out and share the details of your project. I would be happy to put my experience to work for you.
