Poster illustration and design for the 2022 A1A Marathon in Fort Lauderdale, FL

I just completed the new poster illustration and design for the 2022 Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon & Half Marathon. I was approached by Kat at KP Designz some time ago about the project and jumped at the opportunity. I submitted three concepts for consideration and what you see above won out. I used an assortment of techniques and looks for several components off the illustration. I used a kind of expressionist painting technique in some areas, leaned hard on the vector based look in others used visual texture to define others. It's kind of a buffet of looks combined to make one cohesive image. It's probably the most painterly vector illustration that I've done. I just finished some mural work and I think I missed real paint.
