Art by John Potter

Paintings of my son Jake.

Portrait in oils Portrait in acrylic

This is one in a series of paintings exploring the use of custom linear halftones which is the fancy title for the light lines in this painting.

This painting was based on a photo I took of my son, Jake, in early 2022. This was the first linear halftone I designed successfully, and I used it in a painting which Jake owns and a mural which is in Boca Raton, Florida. I think that’s enough, and I don’t plan on using this image again.

The painting is acrylic resin spray paint.
