Iguana Wall Art in a Game Room

I just completed this mural for Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club in their new game room.
I submitted a small (20"x9") painting as a proposal. For the actual mural I mostly used brushes but I did use a paint roller for the background. I also used paint markers during the initial drawing stages and for detail here and there. I used a lot of spray paint near the doors so that I could get a seamless look flowing over the molding. I developed some new techniques that I hope to use again in the future.
This painting was done in a light to dark technique like the old masters or as any academic painter would. Although I used the general size and position from the initial sketches I created most of this on the spot. Normally I find the initial concept art highly instructive but in this case I found that scale created new challenges and opportunities and I rolled with it. Ultimately the client chose to paint the whole room (that wasn't covered in murals) the color of my underpainting which really helped everything in the room pop.
I can't overstate how much I enjoyed creating this mural. I was provided a great deal of solitude while I worked that I absolutely loved. I spent a lot of time in a flow state that was pure joy.
This was not the only mural in the room and I've added some photos here showing how it all fits together.
