Thalassophobia Painting (acrylic on stretched linen 36"X36")
Artist: John Potter

This painting fits into a series of paintings exploring the use of custom linear halftones I have been working on.
This piece falls closer to Op Art than most of my work. It’s a simple concept that evolved over time from other pieces I was working on. The theme may recur as an accent in a larger more complex painting in the future, but the simplicity of this painting has strength and elegance on its own.
