This was the Flamingo Gardens map before my designFlamingo Gardens is a well known wildlife sanctuary, aviary, and botanical garden located in South Florida. The property is home to native Florida wildlife, including alligators, birds of prey, and other protected species, as well as one of the region’s largest collections of champion trees and carefully maintained gardens. Visitors come to Flamingo Gardens for a relaxed and educational experience that combines nature, history, and conservation in a setting that is both accessible and visually memorable.
I created an illustrated map for Flamingo Gardens to help guests navigate the property while also supporting the organization’s marketing and visitor experience goals. The map presents the layout of the grounds in a clear and inviting way, making it easy for visitors to locate exhibits, gardens, walking paths, and amenities. The illustration balances accuracy with visual warmth, helping guests understand the space at a glance while encouraging exploration throughout the property.
This is my original GPS dataThis project is part of an ongoing working relationship, and my work for Flamingo Gardens extends beyond the main map illustration. I also created original artwork for the brochure side of the map and designed additional materials, including a rack card used for promotion. These pieces were developed to maintain a consistent visual identity while clearly communicating information to a wide range of visitors.
