I created a custom illustrated map for InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa, an upscale resort located on the Caribbean island of Dominica within Cabrits National Park. This unique property combines luxury accommodations with the island’s natural beauty, offering guests oceanfront views, well-appointed suites, world-class spa and wellness experiences, multiple outdoor pools, and access to both rainforest and marine adventures. The resort is known for its commitment to eco-conscious luxury and its rich Caribbean setting that balances comfort with the surrounding landscape.
The map was designed from an aerial perspective to clearly show the layout of key resort components, including the main lobby, accommodation buildings, pools, dining venues, spa and wellness areas, and pathways that connect each space. By focusing on an overhead view, the illustration supports both marketing and wayfinding, allowing guests and future visitors to see how the resort’s facilities relate to one another.
Although this map has a practical purpose, it was created with a visually appealing style that reflects the serene and sophisticated character of the resort. The result is a polished and engaging visual asset that enhances both the guest experience and the resort’s promotional materials. This project highlights my ability to combine accuracy, design, and aesthetic appeal in map illustrations for high-end hospitality environments, and it serves as an example of how custom artwork can support property branding and guest engagement.
