Halftone Painting (acrylic and spray paint on canvas 68"X22")

Originally conceived as a mural I decided to move forward with this design as a finished painting instead. The concept is simple. Its text turned into a low resolution halftone using a custom made pattern. I decided to maker the darker area a gradient that has many colors in it.
The end result is an image that can be fairly easily seen as text from a distance but looks more like just a decorative pattern up close. It's more like Op Art than most of my recent work.
This piece is for an upcoming show I am working on and honestly I thought that some of my existing freelance illustration clients might be interested in something like this using a logo or corporate slogan or something. It seemed smart to have an example.
