The 2026 Miami International Boat Show marks the return of Island Gardens Marina on Watson Island as a featured venue. Reintroduced under the name Sailor’s Cove, this waterfront location will showcase an impressive selection of new yachts in a setting designed specifically for sailing enthusiasts. Conveniently situated along the MacArthur Causeway just after leaving mainland Miami, Sailor’s Cove offers excellent accessibility while maintaining a distinct sense of place within the overall show footprint. Show organizers encourage parking here and taking shuttles to the other venues for visitor convenience.
This illustrated map presents an aerial perspective created from a custom built three dimensional digital model. Key show features are identified with numbered yellow markers, while visitor amenities are communicated through a clear, intuitive icon system. Docks are labeled directly within the illustration to support quick orientation on site. Additional navigational context is provided through a graphical shuttle route legend, allowing the map to function as both a wayfinding tool and a visual overview of the venue. Designed for clarity and visual appeal, the map supports a smooth visitor experience while reinforcing the scale and quality of the Miami International Boat Show.
The 2026 show spans four primary venues, and I created individual maps for each location. In addition, I designed a transportation map with versions adapted for web use, on site signage, and the official printed program. A vertical version of the Miami Beach Yacht Collection map along Collins Avenue was also produced specifically for large format signage, ensuring consistency across platforms while addressing different viewing conditions and spatial constraints.
Large scale public events rely on clear, thoughtfully designed maps to guide visitors efficiently to exhibits, displays, and amenities. When executed well, event maps also serve as powerful marketing tools that reinforce branding and enhance the overall guest experience. I invite you to explore the rest of my portfolio to see additional examples of illustrated maps and custom visual solutions created for complex environments and high traffic events.
