INFORMA
Informa is a London based global events company that produces several major boat shows each year, including the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, widely recognized as the largest boat show in the world. In addition to event production, Informa provides a full range of services such as electrical infrastructure, catering, and convention support. Some of these boat shows were originally managed by Show Management, The Newport International Boat Show and NMMA, which have been acquired by Informa. Escape Key Graphics has worked with all of these organizations, providing continuity and deep familiarity with the shows and their venues.
The first boat show map created by Escape Key Graphics was produced in 2011 for Show Management and was for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Since that initial project, the studio has created a wide range of illustrated maps, signage designs, and supporting graphics for multiple boat shows each year. This ongoing collaboration has included program cover illustrations and page layout, detailed renderings for future show planning, and visual assets used across print, digital, and on site applications. The long term relationship reflects a consistent ability to deliver clear, accurate, and visually engaging graphics for some of the most complex marine events in the world.

If you’re at Yachts Miami Beach – formerly The Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show – the man behind those maps is John Potter of Escape Key Graphics, who created his first boat show map for the 201 Fort Lauderdale Int’l. Boat Show. It wasn't long before the creative concept spread. Less intimidating than site plans and more easier to follow than an aerial photography, Potter’s maps now grace the Stuart Boat Show, St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show in Florida and International Boat Shows like Newport, Palm Beach and Panama. His work on these shows frequently extends to many maps such as detailed area maps and transit maps. Potter’s maps can also be seen beyond the yachting industry in theme parks, resorts, wildlife sanctuaries, municipalities, campuses and gardens including Flamingo Gardens, Dinosaur World parks or The Dover International Speedway."
