This illustrated map was developed for the 2024 Miami International Boat Show as a thoughtful evolution of the prior year’s design. Built from a detailed digital three dimensional model, it focuses on the main show venues at Venetian Marina and One Herald Plaza while also providing clear geographic context for the Superyacht Miami Show on Watson Island, commonly known as Yacht Haven Grande. By showing how these locations relate to one another, the map helps visitors understand the full scope of the event before they even arrive. Docks and ramps are labeled directly on the map, show features are identified with numbered yellow markers, and amenities are highlighted using easy to recognize icons. Streets and sponsor locations are integrated directly into the illustration, while transportation options such as shuttle service, Water Taxi routes, and VIP tender access are explained through a clean and intuitive visual system.
This map was created as part of a coordinated set of five maps included in the official show program, with page layout also handled by me. It was further adapted for use online, on site signage, and in promotional materials. For an event of this size and complexity, a clear wayfinding map is a critical tool. Beyond guiding visitors from place to place, it reinforces a sense of professionalism and careful planning, contributing to a polished and high quality show experience.
